Our Story

In 2025, I quit my job with nothing lined up except a stubborn belief that the world was still worth seeing.

I didn’t have a lot of money. What I did have was time, curiosity, and a refusal to accept the prices flight search engines kept showing me.

Six months later, I came home from the trip of a lifetime: four continents, 25 countries, and thousands of dollars saved by learning how airfare really works.

If I had booked the routes the major aggregators showed me, my airfare would have cost nearly $18,000. Instead, I paid about $2,800.

That difference didn’t come from luck. It came from treating flight search like a puzzle: testing alternate airports, splitting routes, building long layovers, mixing carriers, using intermodal connections, and refusing to assume that the first “best” result was actually best.

The more I traveled, the more obvious it became: most people are not bad at planning trips. They’re just using tools designed to simplify travel, not necessarily to find the smartest route.

That’s why I started FrugalFlyerz.

We build ready-to-book transportation itineraries by hand for people who want better options than the algorithm gives them. Flights, trains, buses, ferries, creative routing, better timing, lower prices — whatever gets you there smarter.

When I started sharing these methods online, I had no idea the response would be so fast. Nearly a million views in two weeks told me something important: people still want to travel. They just need someone in their corner who knows how to make it feel possible again.

My promise is simple: we don’t just search. We strategize.

For every trip we touch, our goal is to save you more than you spend with us — maybe 2x, maybe 5x, maybe 10x. But more than that, we want to give you the confidence to go farther, stay longer, and stop letting airfare decide what kind of traveler you get to be.

See you out there,
